Cornucopious Event Submissions!

Copious Love is accepting submissions for our holiday project!  Many theater companies focus on Christmastime, but this year we're prioritizing a Thanksgiving performance called Cornucopious.  We will offer a modest stipend to writers whose work we select - a short scene, a speech, a song, anything you can dream up - around a proposed theme.

This year our theme is "Comfort Food" - stories about specific foods that evoke memories or feelings.  If you have an idea for a piece that is ideally ten minutes or under, please submit here to be considered for our November event.

The deadline for submissions is on October 1st!

Play Submissions

PLAYS ON TAP SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED!

Plays On Tap is our quick and dirty playreading series that provides playwrights the opportunity to hear their work read out loud by professional actors. Five playwrights will be invited to join this program this year, which includes a 4-hour rehearsal process and a public reading at a local bar, followed by a community talkback. Whether you’re a seasoned play submitter or brand new to the world of playwriting, we welcome your submission!

Eligibility:

  • Must be Pacific Northwest-based and available to attend the reading.

  • Plays can have no more than one production (readings, workshops, and developmental productions don’t count).

  • 5 actor limit. Can have more characters, but double-casting plan must be included.

  • We can’t accept musicals at this time.

Submissions will open in 2026!
