Copious Love is thrilled to continue our Plays On Tap series with four exciting pieces from Pacific NW-based writers.
This season is titled "Leap of Faith," as we trace a common theme of characters making bold, life-changing choices in search of a deeper connection. With our staged readings, we invite you to be an integral part of the play-making process.

At the West Canyon Christian Summer Camp For Girls, four counselors meet on their break on the last day of camp. "Rest Hour" is a smart, vulnerable comedy about the fear of what’s next, belief and disbelief, and what to do with this vape they just found.
Kyla Dowling (she/her) - Playwright
Kyla Dowling is a playwright, actor, and former camp counsellor based in what is colonially known as Vancouver, BC. Three of her short plays have been produced as part of festivals and showcases—Admissions (HACH Productions, 2026); Pregamers (Theatre Burlington’s PlayTime Festival, 2025); and the 10-minute version of Rest Hour (OR Festival, 2024). Recently, as part of Glitch Theatre’s Arc One program, she wrote and performed a solo piece called Blossies. Outside of theatre, you can find her at concerts, in the ocean, or battling the Saturday crossword.
Adair Rice (she/they) - Director
Adair Rice’s recent work includes cowriting and directing Bread and Butter for Latitude Theatre’s summer gala, acting as Dramaturg and Production Manager for Chicken Tinders, being a contributor to Copious Love’s Cornucopious and directing the West Coast premiere of Eric Kimmel’s Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins at Taproot Theatre Company. Adair is a writer, performer, producer and director based in the Pacific Northwest and is on staff at Seattle Rep.
Sally Ollove (she/her) - Dramaturg
Sally Ollove is a freelance director and dramaturg who splits her time between Philadelphia and Seattle. She is the Associate Artistic Director and Resident Dramaturg of Philadelphia’s Bearded Ladies Cabaret for whom she has directed the Layaway, FEAST and Bitter Homes and Gardens and co-conceived the Pew funded projects Shavings, The Poison Cookie Jar, and Do You Want a Cookie? Formerly the Literary Manager at Arden Theatre Company, Resident Dramaturg of Azuka Theatre, and the Programming Director of The Jewelbox Theater at the Rendezvous in Seattle. Other credits include serving as a Story Editor for This Job Is History (Wondery), director and Story Editor of audio drama Metropolis, and dramaturgy credits with Pig Iron Theatre, TheatreExile, Philadelphia Theatre Company, and The Foundry (Philadelphia), ACT (Seattle), One Coast Collaboration, and Book-It Theater among others. Most recently her work was seen at On The Boards in Rose: You Are Who You Eat by Rose Jarboe.
